A recent free verse poem.
Realization:
I've often wondered why
you entered my orbit.
A test?
A threat?
Perhaps both?
You now exist
as a ghost, a memory,
something tragic.
That's it, isn't it?
Something tragic
to haunt the mind,
the heart,
the poem.
-Brandon White
This can be said of so many relationships that come and go. Even pets. The coming in, the intertwining, the leaving (with parts left behind). Excellent piece.

Thanks so much, T. I’ve had several lately come in quick bursts, this being one. I’m doing my best to be ready for them!
